South Asia rank among the world’s most densely Populated ragions About 1.6 billion people live here. It is approximately one-fifth of the population of the world. This region has an ancient history and one of the world’s earliest civilizations the Ludus valley civilization and ancient Chinese civilisation developed here it was most prosperous during the Mughal period in the 18th century.
South Asia is bounded by China in the north, Afghanistan and Iran in the west, Myanmar towards the east, and the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean in the south .
